EAGLE WAY CALL OF THE DAY
So far this school year we have recognized 26 students with the EAGLE WAY CALL OF THE DAY! These students came to the office to call home with the principal, received a certificate, took a picture to put in the lunchroom, and received a coin to get a book from the Inchy Book Machine. Keep SOARing!

Last spring SBA students created pieces of art for a show at the Washington Pavilion. Visual artist Eyob Mergia used selections of the work our students contributed to create the exhibit, Through Their Eyes: Children's Art in Times of War and Peace. The exhibit will be on display through January. There will be an Artist Reception on Friday, September 26th from 6-8pm. We hope you can join us for this special event. (Please note the date change, originally the reception was planned for September 22nd)

Today is National IT Professionals Day, and we are lucky to have Kevin J. Moody at SBA! Kevin is always there and ready to help us when technology issues arrive, but he is much more. He brings a positive light to our school and builds relationships with all of us. His “can-do” attitude gets things done. Thank you Kevin for all you do and have a great National IT Professionals Day!

Thanks to all the hard work put in by students last year on the Eagle Trivia Extravaganza fundraiser, and our wonderful PTO the book vending machine is full of books and is ready to roll!
Students will get tokens to get a book if they have received an Eagle Way Call of the Day or have earned the Soaring Eagle Award at the end of each quarter.

We are excited to support The Barrel House's all-day Hungry Hearts Fundraiser benefiting the Angel Fund, which helps ensure every student in the Sioux Falls School District has access to a meal. Come out and enjoy some great food, fun activities (dunk tanks, bouncy house, axe throwing, and more!), and make a difference for our students! Hope to see you there!

Thank you to our wonderful PTO! They have scheduled so much fun in the last two weeks to celebrate all of our learning we have done this year! Thrilling Thursday kicked off with field trips for 3rd-5th grade! Followed up by Fabulous Friday with so much fun for all: carnival, dunk tank, fresh popcorn 🍿, snow cones 🍧, and breakout sessions for K-2nd grade. None of this would be possible without our wonderful parent volunteers, teachers, and our awesome community business volunteers!
