Third graders went to Dow Rummel on April 25th. They delivered some cute lady bugs and ducks for spring door decorations to residents. They then took on the residents in a fun game of checkers! Thanks to our parents/helpers for driving us there! We are sad we only have one more visit for the year next month!
Our students got to experience the fun and excitement of the El Riad Shrine Circus on April 24. A big thank you to the Shriners for generously providing free tickets and giving our kids the chance to experience the magic of the circus. We are so grateful for this incredible opportunity and all the memories made with our ACE friends!

15 WINNING TEACHERS & their nominating students each win cool awards and gifts as a way for Catfish Bay and Mueller Pallets to say thank you for all they do as a teacher and thank you to the student for nominating them. The entire class of each winning teacher will be given free tickets to come out and see their Greatest Teacher receive an award at Catfish Bays Greatest Show on H2O. All elementary, middle school and High School teachers within 30 miles of Sioux Falls are eligible.

The 4th and 5th grade band and orchestra students performed a morning matinee and an evening performance on April 22. They have improved so much from the beginning of the year! Way to go! Big thanks to Mrs. Anderson for her time and efforts with these kids!

On April 11th, Ashley Armstrong from SURF (Sanford Underground Research Facility) out of Lead, SD came to visit the K-5 ACE students. She taught them about all different kinds of science and research happening at their facility. She does a wonderful job of keeping the kids engaged and excited with her presentations to learn about science! Thanks for coming to visit again!

We are so excited to share that five of our Jane Addams educators received grants from the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation this year! Congrats to Mrs. Gray, Miss Leloux, Mrs. Berhow, Mrs. Reavis, and Mrs. Smilloff. Thank you for taking the time to write a meaningful grant to enhance the educational experience of our students! Chess Club Update: With a score of 16.5 - 11.5...Congratulations All City Chess Club players on being the victors of our Inter-School Chess Tournament at Holy Spirit! We took home the Lamborghini Cup which will be housed at Jane Addams until next year's tournament! We are so proud of all of you! That’s a check-mate to the 2024-2025 season! Big thank you to the Kevan family, Anthony Pizer, and chess master David for their time and dedication into this club! The kids love it so much!
