Kindergarten wants to say thank you to the Daughters of the American Revolution and Promising Futures for this amazing learning opportunity! They have sponsored a literacy grant that partners with the Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House. The Zoomobile brought three ambassador animals: a hognose snake named Winnie, Madagascar hissing cockroach, and a Russian turtle. Students also received a book, What Do You Do with a Tail Like This?
Friday, January 23, 2026, will be a Remote Learning Day in the Sioux Falls School District!
iPads and Chromebooks were sent home with each student earlier today. We will not have in-person learning in the schools, but students are expected to connect to their Canvas account from home for assignments and learning resources. They have practiced this at school and know what is expected of them.

SBA is doing the Masked Reader. Teachers will put on a mask, disguise their voice, and read a book. Students will then vote on who they believe the identity is of the Masked Reader. All will be reveals during the Read fest in the Eagles Nest on Friday, December 5th at 6:30. Come and participate in a book exchange, treats and hot chocolate, and the unmasking of the Masked Readers.
